Who wants a Kayak Launch in Roanoke?!? WE DO!!!

In case you hadn’t heard, efforts are well underway to build a kayak launch into the Roanoke River—right next to downtown Roanoke!  Developer Aaron Ewert announced the results of fundraising efforts thus far, and issued a call to local residents and businesses at a press conference held at the site of the soon-to-be launch.  Carilion Clinic and the City of Roanoke reached a long term lease agreement for the land use, and Boxley, USB, Balzer and Associates, MB Contractors and EC Pace are largest contributors to date (in-kind and/or cash).
