The Center for Transformative Research on Health Behaviors is the first large scale biomedical collaboration since the establishment of the Virginia Tech Carilion Health Sciences and Technology Campus. The 2,235 square foot interior renovation covered two floors of medical offices and consisted of new HVAC, electrical, gypsum board, paint, carpet, metal studs, acoustical ceiling tile, spiral staircase, and minor plumbing. Challenges included cutting the second floor to house the staircase while the surrounding offices were in operation. Careful attention was paid to restricting the spread of dust.
