Originally built in 1973 and located at the center of campus, Heth Hall is now home to eight separate student services departments and contains multiple conference rooms, private offices, open work areas, and lounges. During construction, protection was provided for the large existing brick-paver courtyard which was an access point for construction equipment. When the protection was removed at project completion, the pavers remained intact and no damage was present. During renovations, the building exterior was upgraded with new brick and architectural precast equipment screen walls, brick and precast outdoor benches, and an all-brick replacement of the front radii walls. Specialty interior finishes included radius corridor walls with a Level-5 finish, custom casework, strategically placed ceiling heights with integral bulkheads and aluminum column covers, ceramic tile, epoxy terrazzo flooring and stair treads, and Forbo flooring with custom designs and University logos. A new elevator with current technology was installed in the existing elevator shaft. To meet the standards of a modern campus, Heth Hall is now fully sprinkled and includes a state-of-the-art building automation system, card access system, and fire alarm system.
