The 44,375 square-foot space spans three floors and consists of a mixture of private offices, open work spaces, reference libraries, multimedia conference rooms, and accessible collection areas for office recyclables. During construction, an indoor air quality plan reduced airborne contaminants. Elements of the plan included the use of low-VOC adhesives, paint, and carpet, as well as composite wood materials with no added urea formaldehyde resins. Daylight harvesting, individually controlled task lighting, unobstructed views to the outside, and lighting sensors reduce energy demands. Speciality finishes include custom casework, reception desk, frameless storefront entrance system, resin panel screen wall, electric window shade system, acoustical and tackable wall panels, illuminated art display system, fabric canopy ceilings, and modular arts sculptural panels. Additional green features include the reuse of existing wall and ceiling systems, wall insulation made from 100% recycled denim, regionally produced building materials, recycled aluminum door and window frames, and cork flooring with 90% post-industrial recycled content.
