MB Contractors Receives The Bronze Award for Safety!

MB Contractors received the Bronze Award in Safety today from The Virginia Contractors Group (VACO) VACO is a self-insured group offering Workers’ Compensation coverage for contractors domiciled in Virginia. Their focus, now and since their foundation in 1982, is on safety.  They work closely with members (insureds) to provide safety consultation through office visits, jobsite inspections, specialized training and group safety presentations.

Each year VACO awards its members with the best overall safety programs.  Members are split into several categories; General Contractors, Heavy and Civil Engineering Contractors, and Specialty Contractors. There is also an award for significant achievement in safety, the Gordon Significant Achievement in Safety Award. Because many of VACOs members have outstanding programs to prevent accidents to their employees – competition is usually intense. The safety review team uses a formula that compares claim history with actual management activity and involvement.

This year MB Contractors is proud to be the recipient of the Bronze Award.  Pictured is General Superintendent and Safety Manager Scott Williams, receiving the award.  Scott wrote and developed MB’s Safety program.  Congratulations, Scott, we almost didn’t recognize you without your hat!
