FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Roanoke, Va., (November 20, 2017) — MB Contractors has been chosen as the Construction Manager for pre-construction and construction phase services for the six-story, interior renovation of the historic Appalachian Power building on Franklin Road SW in Downtown Roanoke, Virginia. The project will make room for roughly 100 newly hired engineers and technical experts in an expansion effort by American Electric Power. The project team includes the following firms:
MB Contractors, Inc. – Construction Manager
Balzer and Associates, Inc. – Architect and Structural Engineer
Mann & Associates, Inc. – Mechanical and Plumbing Engineer
Gibson Engineering, LLC – Electrical Engineer
The project will consist of partial or complete renovation on four of the six floors totaling roughly 70,000 square feet. The first phase of the project is scheduled to start in December 2017.
